TOTAL, the Teacher-Targeted Online Tolerance and Anti-Bullying Library, provides information and tools to enable educators to develop crucial knowledge and skills to prevent bullying in middle and high schools. The 8 TOTAL bullying prevention training modules provide teachers with the most current, evidence-based strategies to use to prevent bullying. Educators will learn the most effective, science-based information, methods, and skills they need to prevent bullying among their students. The training modules follow the TOTAL approach, including comprehensive strategies that target the whole school community, classroom, and student. The modules cover: • what bullying is • who is affected by bullying • how to create an environment at school that can prevent bullying • techniques to promote positive behavior among all students affected by bullying • which social and emotional skills are most important for educators to promote in order to prevent bullying • how to work with parents and other caregivers to prevent bullying • how to engage youth as active participants in bullying prevention programs • what strategies and methods educators can use to ensure their students learn and use program content • how to implement best-practice interactive teaching methods in bullying prevention programs, and much more.
