Athletes Training and Learning to Avoid Steroids
ATLAS is a drug prevention and health promotion program designed for male
athletes in grades 9 through 12. This team-centered, gender-specific program
addresses key risk and protective factors associated with anabolic steroids
and other drug use.
Coaches and student team leaders deliver ten weekly, 50-minute class sessions and research staff delivers 8-weight room sessions. Topics covered include sports nutrition and strength training alternatives to athletic enhancing substances and strategies to avoid alcohol and other drugs.
