The Positive Action program is an integrated, comprehensive, coherent program for urban, suburban, and rural schools,
families, and communities. It includes a K-12 curriculum for all students, including minority and special needs
students, a school climate
program, a family curriculum and parent involvement program, a community involvement program, and an after-school
program. Sociometrics is only disseminating the most basic kits i.e. the school curriculum for elementary school and
beyond. Other curricula materials (such as the school climate program, community involvement etc.) may be purchased
directly from the developer.
The yearly curriculum consists of over 140 fifteen-to-twenty-minute lesson per year delivered in school classrooms on
an almost daily basis. The program is based on theories of self-concept, learning, behavior, and school ecology.
