The Institute for Program Development and Evaluation Online (IPDE Online) provides teen pregnancy and STD/HIV prevention program staff from schools, community-based organizations, clinics and other agencies with online professional training in program modeling and evaluation. The mission of the IPDE Online is to teach course participants the comprehensive skills necessary to integrate evaluation into the planning and implementation of effective prevention programs. IPDE Online includes four courses:
Course 101: Introduction to IPDE: Developing and Evaluating Programs That Meet Your Community Needs
Course 201: Looking In: Developing your Program Model
Course 202: Are We Delivering What We Said We Would? Conducting a Process Evaluation
Course 203: Are We Making a Difference? Conducting an Outcome/Impact Evaluation

More and more, teen pregnancy and STD/HIV/AIDS prevention programs are required to provide evidence that they are having the intended impact. Busy prevention practitioners and program administrators can benefit from learning or improving their ability to ensure that program monitoring and evaluation are accomplished appropriately and efficiently. Moreover, integrating evaluation with program planning and implementation allows a program to better meet community needs, and to have a greater influence on funders and policy makers.

You will learn critical program development and evaluation skills that will assist you in planning and implementing a basic evaluation study, or knowledgeably managing a more complex evaluation study.

You will have access to a coach. Your questions about any aspect of the course material will be answered, by email or telephone, by a national expert on teen pregnancy/STD/HIV prevention program evaluation.
