Technical Support, Custom Data Sets, Analysis, & WorkshopsCustomized data set extracts can be created from any of Sociometrics' data archives: Adolescent Pregnancy and Pregnancy Prevention, the American Family, Social Research on Aging, Maternal Drug Abuse and AIDS. For example, RSG staff can help you tailor a data set from over 50,000 variables in more than 150 nationally-recognized studies on adolescent pregnancy. Extracts based on casewise selection - selecting only minority respondents, for example - are also available. Your extract will contain easy-to-understand variable labels and can be supplemented with User's Guides and original questionnaires. Customized statistical tables and analyses of data in any of Sociometrics archives are available. RSG staff will perform analyses (cross-tabulations, regressions, etc.) and quickly produce clear jargon-free statistical reports to meet your research needs. If you prefer to perform your own analyses but would like technical assistance, RSG staff are available for consultation. Customized searches for variables in Sociometrics' data archives are available. Each variable in these archives has been coded into one of 50 Topics (e.g., race, education, sexuality, physical health, wealth/finances, etc.) and one of 17 Types (e.g., behavior, attitude, personality trait, etc.). RSG staff will perform variable searches by Topic and Type and give you a list of variable names and labels sorted by Topic, Type and study. Data management and analysis services are available to businesses, educators and researchers. RSG staff are available for consultation or to perform research activities that you request.
