REPLICATION KIT PROGRAM ARCHIVES are a Sociometrics' research-to-practice
initiative aimed at assembling in one placefor public dissemination,
distribution, and replicationoutstanding prevention programs in
key health areas. Programs were selected for archive inclusion based on
their demonstrated salutory effect on risk-taking behaviors. These program
archives have been designed to:
- facilitate cost-effective replication of prevention programs that
work,
- eliminate wasted effort spent reinventing the wheel and
- encourage ongoing scientific evaluation to ascertain the robustness
of each program's effectiveness (or lack thereof) across different study
populations.
PREVENTION PROGRAM PACKAGES. Sociometrics has developed a colorful
package for each program included in the archives. Each program package
contains everything needed to replicate or adapt the promising program:
- a complete set of materials such as training manuals, curriculum guidebook,
workbooks, videos, board game, etc.;
- a User's Guide (also available
for purchase separately) prepared by archive staff describing
the program/evaluation. The Guide also provides tips and guidelines
for program implementation;
- an accompanying evaluation packetwith instructions, instruments,
and scoring instructionsfor assessing the effectiveness of the
program; and
- a one-page packing slip listing the contents and describing the organization
of the package.
NEW! The original evaluation instruments used by the program developers
for each of the program packages are now available for download in PDF
format. Once you select a program click on products for download
to see the available instruments.
