Giving Programs

We believe in giving back to the community we serve. We are committed to practicing good corporate citizenship and encourages staff to involve themselves in community volunteer programs and philanthropic activities. Examples of Sociometrics' service to the community include:

JCAP - College Scholarship Fund
Josefina Jayme Card, founder and President of Sociometrics, and her family started the JCAP College Scholarship Fund to provide four-year college scholarships and expense money for Philippine public high school graduates who graduate from high school in the top 20% of their class.

Corporate giving program
Each fiscal year, Sociometrics gives to charities that are recommended by its employees. Over the years it has donated to local community projects as well as organizations with global impact. In recent years, Sociometrics has given thousands of dollars to such organizations as:

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Volunteerism
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Sociometrics employees are encouraged to volunteer for community service for one-half of the day. Sociometrics covers the employees' salary for those hours spent in community service.

Examples of community services that Sociometrics employees participated in during recent years:

Glide Memorial Church: help with San Francisco church-based bag lunch program.
Habitat for Humanity: assist with house-building, basic construction and renovation work in Redwood City.
St. Anthony's Dining Hall: serve lunch to the needy families in San Francisco
San Francisco AIDS Foundation HIV Prevention Project: assist in sterile syringes exchange
