Evaluation Readiness Assessment Guide: Is Your Program Ready To Evaluate Its Effectiveness?
Investigators:
The Evaluation Readiness Assessment Guide (ERAG) is available
to those working in adolescent pregnancy prevention. This comprehensive,
easy-to-use guide assists programs to determine if their intervention
is ready to be evaluated. The ERAG provides step-by-step information
on how to collect valuable information related to: Strength of
the Program Model; Staff Resources; Program Philosophy; Implementation
of Program Components; and the Participants' readiness for Outcome
Evaluation. After data collection and analysis, the ERAG provides
the user with a detailed plan for the program's strategic planning
by identifying aspects of the program to be strengthened.
The guide provides a method for asking key questions that will help a program determine its overall readiness for a program evaluation. The ERAG was written by Dr. Valerie Sedivy with support from Sociometrics, the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies, NOAPPP, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
