THE COLLECTIONS:

Why is the SOCIOMETRICS Social Science Electronic Data Library the recommended health and social science resource?

  • Each study included in the Data Library was selected by a scientist expert panel using criteria of scientific merit, substantive utility and program and policy relevance. This method maximizes the usefulness of all studies included in the Data Library for analysis, statistical inference and reference.
  • The studies were chosen based on the National Advisory Panels' criteria of technical quality, substantive importance to the field, potential for secondary analysis and disciplinary balance.
  • The SOCIOMETRICS Data Library saves users time, money and effort because it has: SAS & SPSS Data Extract Program Files, SPSS portable files, Frequencies, Data Dictionaries and Detailed User's Guides.
  • FREE technical support.
  • SOCIOMETRICS' data archives have been used individually by thousands of students and professionals at universities and research institutions throughout the United States for 20 years.
  • Eighty percent (80%) of the SOCIOMETRICS Social Science Electronic Data Library is unique and not available from any other public source (including the ICPSR data archives at the University of Michigan and the U.S. Government).
