The Data Archive of Social Research on Aging (DASRA) was assembled with the support of a grant from the National Institute on Aging. DASRA contains data and documentation from the following three nationally recognized studies:

Gerontology Research Toolkits

Three Gerontology Research Toolkits (tutorials) - one for each of the three DASRA studies - are available. The Toolkits include workbooks with data set extracts on floppy diskettes that serve as hands-on tutorials for using the three data sets with SPSS. In the process of completing the workbook exercises, the user learns how to prepare data for analysis, handle basic statistical techniques, and use SPSS, one of the most widely used computer statistical analysis packages. An Instructor's Manual contains the solutions to questions asked in the workbook. Each of the Toolkits can be used as a supplementary textbook for a research methods course, a statistics course, or a content course on aging.
