Child Well-Being and Poverty (CWP)
Statistical Abstract and Data Archive
The Child Well-Being and Poverty Statistical Abstract and Data Archive is a comprehensive collection of statistical
data and data sets on child well being and poverty, all in one place. Towards this end, two resources have been
developed that provide easy access to critical information needed for basic and policy research, education, and
program planning, implementation, and evaluation. These resources are:
- an online, interactive statistical abstract
of a large, comprehensive, and searchable set of tables, charts,
and figures pertaining to child well being and poverty, that are accessed via online subscription. Each table/graph
can be downloaded to your own computer, where it can be saved,
printed, or directly incorporated into your documents.
- an
archive of key data sets on child well being and poverty. The Archive provides descriptive and
comparative
data on the structure of child well being and poverty; factors that contribute to poverty and child well-being; the
consequences of child poverty; evaluations of education, welfare, and other programs related to child well being and
poverty. All variables in these data sets have been categorized by topic and type and are made available with SPSS
and SAS program statements as well as search and retrieval software that aids in searching and extracting the
specific variables of interest from the dataset(s).

The
Comprehensive Child Well-Being and Poverty Data
