The Contemporary Views on Sex Education, Nov. 10-12, 1986 is a nationally stratified sample of public opinion regarding sex education throughout the continental U.S. The private firm of Yankelovich, Clancy and Shulman conducted the study for Time magazine. The study queries respondents for information regarding their personal experience with sex education, their perceptions of what specific topics should be discussed with children of varying ages in sex education courses, and their personal communication with their children on the topic of sex. In particular, the survey includes questions about AIDS education. Various sociodemographic, economic and religious indicators are provided. All respondents were 18 years or older.
