Project Overview
Funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the current research project – a computer-based drug prevention intervention for American Indian youth – will combine the best science-based practices in drug prevention and multi-media health education to develop a modified, new media version of the State-wide Indian Drug Prevention Program for internet- and computer-based delivery.

The State-wide Indian Drug Prevention Program directly addresses the emergent need for evidence-based, culturally relevant interventions that are accessible and engaging to American Indian youth in reservations and remote locations. The project is expected to run through late 2011.
